With 30 years of experience and serving as a Consultant ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) Surgeon since 2006, I bring a wealth of knowledge and skills to the field of otolaryngology. I possess a specialisation in handling head and neck cancer, along with parathyroid and thyroid disorders.

As part of the multidisciplinary team at the University Hospitals Birmingham, I play an integral role in treating head, neck, and thyroid cancers. Additionally, I extend my services to adults and children, offering solutions for a range of general ear, nose, and throat issues.

My surgical expertise lies in managing cancers of the voice box (larynx), throat (pharynx), neck, thyroid, and parotid gland (a major salivary gland). I also perform thyroid surgeries for nodules (small lumps), large goitres (abnormal enlargement of the thyroid gland), and Grave’s disease (an autoimmune condition that affects the thyroid).

Parathyroid adenomas or hyperplasias (non-cancerous tumours or enlargement of the parathyroid glands) removal is another area of my expertise, performing both standard neck operations and minimal access techniques. In fact, I am recognised as a high-volume parathyroid surgeon in Birmingham.

As a member of the British Association of Endocrine and Thyroid Surgeons (BAETS UK), I actively participate in the national endocrine audit for both thyroid and parathyroid conditions. The outcomes of my treatments can be reviewed on the BAETS website.

My primary areas of expertise encompass parathyroidectomy (removal of the parathyroid glands), thyroidectomy (removal of the thyroid gland), parotidectomy (removal of the parotid gland), treating throat cancer, managing swallowing and voice disorders, and addressing general adult and paediatric ENT problems. My primary objective is to offer quality care and improved wellbeing to all my patients.
