I perform laparoscopic weight loss surgery including gastric banding, sleeve gastrectomy and laparoscopic roux Y gastric bypass. I have specialised in managing oesophageal and gastric cancers. I also perform a wide variety of laparoscopic surgery including gallbladder, hernia repair, anti-reflux surgery, splenectomy and appendicectomy. I believe in providing a high-quality, evidence-based clinical practice to my patients.

I was appointed as a Consultant Surgeon at Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust in 2006. My initial surgical training was at University Teaching Hospital in North India and subsequently in the UK surgical training programme in the Yorkshire region. I am the lead clinician for Upper GI cancer for this region and an Honorary Clinical Tutor for Hull and York Medical School. I provide a comprehensive service in the area of upper gastrointestinal disease and enjoy working alongside other specialist colleagues in the management of particularly challenging and complex problems.
