I am a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon and Urologist. I have been a paediatric surgeon for 25 years. I specialise in general paediatric surgery, with a special interest in paediatric urology. I look after children requiring a wide spectrum of surgical treatment such as groin and abdominal surgery, hernia operations, undescended testis, circumcisions, and other minor procedures such as tongue tie release, ingrowing toe nails.
My particular expertise is in paediatric urology, problems relating to external genitalia, penile abnormalities, hypospadias, labial adhesions, etc. I also perform laparoscopic surgery for certain urological conditions, such as undescended testis and varicocele. A large part of my practice is consultations of children with kidney abnormalities and bladder dysfunctions including day and night time wetting and urinary tract infections.
To date I have performed 4,000 hernia operations, 3,000 procedures for undescended testis, 1,200 hypospadias operations, 1,000 kidney and bladder procedures and 1,500 laparoscopic operations.
I have worked for the NHS for 12 years now.
From 2007 until 2016 I was a Senior Clinical Fellow and then a Locum Consultant at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge University Hospitals. In 2016 I was appointed as a Consultant in the department of Paediatric Surgery, Hull University Teaching Hospital NHS Trust. In the past I have also undertaken scholarships and locum work in other centres in the UK, such as Edinburgh, Cardiff, London, Oxford and Bristol.

I am a family man. I try to spend every free moment of my time with my beloved family - my wife Monika, daughters Julia, Zuzanna and Maja, and our dog Luna. We love bike riding and exploring together. We enjoy camping and have camped together all around Europe.
