I have over 25 years of experience in the NHS and 12 years of experience as a consultant in Essex, providing personalised care, tailored to individual needs.

I have extensive experience in cataract surgery (over 6000 procedures) including complex cataracts and surgery for reduced spectacle dependence and glaucoma surgery including trabeculectomy and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) and stents, as well as minor procedures of the eyelids such as cysts. I perform laser procedures including SLT laser (now first-line treatment for glaucoma and may reduce the need for eyedrops) and YAG capsulotomy for polishing of lens capsule to improve vision. I audit my surgery regularly and have excellent results with very low complication rates. I completed undergraduate medical training in Melbourne and ophthalmic training in the UK with fellowship training in London at the prestigious Moorfields and the Western Eye Hospitals.

I have excellent patient and colleague feedback and have received patient-nominated awards for serving my local community, as well as the "Iwantgreatcare' award of excellence for patient feedback.

I am an active member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists having held roles of Examiner, Regional Advisor and Royal College Tutor. I have an interest in teaching with a Master of Medical Education degree and am a surgical trainer.
