Consultant Audiologist

BAAT, HAD Training, TRT Training

Specialises in

I have practiced privately in Hertfordshire for over 20 years, providing a first class hearing service. My clinical practice covers a wide range of audiological investigations for detecting hearing loss and balance disorder. I provide treatments for tinnitus, hyperacusis, vestibular and balance investigations as well as providing high specification digital hearing aids.

My ethos has always been to treat patients individually, to develop a hearing programme that suits them and enables them to lead fuller more sociable lives making the most of their hearing. My specialty and great interest is Tinnitus Retraining Therapy and Hyperacusis therapy.

I also provide hearing protection for shooting, musicians and patients working in noisy environments and I am the Audiologist for Holland; Holland and Beretta.

I give long term support to patients and family members, not only assessing their hearing or balance but by helping patients to hear as well as they can with the best hearing aids available.

I am the Chief Clinical Audiologist in my NHS practice, having qualified 25 years ago. I am registered with all the main insurance companies, including BUPA, but am also happy to see self-pay patients.

Against other competition The Hearing Practice was awarded both: Best Audiology Clinic 2017 – Hertfordshire and Tinnitus Specialist of the Year – Hertfordshire 2017.

Additional information

Consultant Audiologist, Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge University Hospital Foundation Trust.

Like many clinicians finding time to juggle work and home is a fine balancing act but when not juggling I enjoy cooking (and eating), the theatre and the countryside. I live in a small village near Hitchin, have two teenage children and try my best to keep fit at the gym.
