I have been a consultant gynaecologist at the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust since 2018. I was one of a handful of gynaecologists in the country who completed the Advanced Laparoscopy Training certified by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and I lead the specialist endometriosis service at Lister Hospital. In addition to general gynaecology, I subspecialise in endometriosis and benign gynaecology. I am also an expert in hormone medication use, including contraceptives and hormone replacement therapy (HRT). I offer a tailored approach to the treatment of my patients depending on their circumstances.

I am a subspecialist in gynaecological endoscopic (keyhole) surgery including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy and I have done over 1,000 of such procedures with excellent patient outcomes. I teach other specialists in national courses regularly and continue to be an active member of the training subcommittee of the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE).

I have published widely in the field of minimal access surgery and remain an active member of the training subcommittee for the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy. I regularly train general gynaecologists at surgical courses nationally as faculty member.

Mr Lim has published in a number of high impact factor journals like Human Reproduction, European Urology, and Gynecological Surgery.  The general themes of his publications are around minimal access surgery and surgical education.  He continues to participate and contribute to research on a national scale.  He is also active in the writing and revision of national guidelines and specialist training curriculum within the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist (RCOG) and the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE).
