I have been a consultant in the Edinburgh ENT department since 2005 and am Honorary Senior Lecturer of the University of Edinburgh. I am the lead trainer for higher surgical training in ENT in Edinburgh and also lead the undergraduate ENT curriculum and course for the University of Edinburgh.

In addition to training in general ENT to consultant level, I have specialist training in advanced rhinology and, whilst providing a comprehensive service for the medical and surgical management of all nasal and sinus conditions, also provide advanced care for complex nasal reconstruction, extended applications of endoscopic sinus surgery, including tumour management and combined endoscopic and neurosurgical approaches to the skull base.

I undertook my undergraduate medical training at St Thomas' Hospital Medical School, London and qualified BSc. MB.BS in 1989. Following general surgical training in London and the South East of England I trained in ENT in London, Southampton and Edinburgh acquiring CCST in otolaryngology head and neck surgery in 2003.

From 2003 to 2004 I obtained a year of post certification subspecialist training in advanced rhinology as an Honorary Senior Lecturer to the University of Otago Department of Otolaryngology, Christchurch New Zealand.

In 2005 I was appointed to my current position as ENT Consultant with a special interest in advanced rhinology at the Edinburgh department of Otolaryngology.
