I am experienced in the management of all haematological conditions with a particular interest in Myeloproliferative disorders and Myelodysplasia.

I obtained my medical degree from University of Glasgow in 1992. My haematology training was undertaken in Scotland and New Zealand. I obtained a PhD (in Chronic Leukaemia) in 2004 and became a Consultant in 2006. I am now based at the Beatson Cancer centre in Glasgow.

I am is currently Lead Clinician for Blood Cancers in the West of Scotland and leads on a number of UK and International Clinical Trials. I have authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications, including two textbooks of Haematological diagnosis.

My clinical interests include investigation and diagnosis of all blood count and haematological abnormalities. Treatment of anaemia, anticoagulation, and monitoring of blood disorders (including blood cancers) are offered in addition to management of most other haematological disorders.
