I am a Vascular Surgeon and a specialist in varicose vein treatment. I have been treating patients with varicose veins since 1988 and have been a Consultant Surgeon at the Royal Berkshire Hospital since 1996. I have a particular interest in the treatment of varicose veins. I also offer assessment and treatment of venous leg ulcers and a service for the treatment of spider veins.

As well as vascular work, I offer surgical treatment for excessive sweating and general surgical procedures including laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repair and anal surgery techniques.

I was appointed Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals in 2012, where I was a Senior Surgeon in the Thames Valley Vascular Network.

I offer free 10 minute mini-consultation to patients interested in vascular treatment. This is an opportunity to ask any initial questions you might have before booking a full medical consultation.

I trained in Bristol, Exeter and Oxford. I have been a Council Member of the Venous Forum of the Royal Society of Medicine and am a Member of the British Association of Sclerotherapists. I have held and hold many managerial and academic posts including Royal College Tutor, Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Examiner for the University of Oxford, Lead Clinician for Surgery, Divisional Director of Surgery, Chair of the Oxford Regional Blood Transfusion Committee and Member of the National Blood Transfusion Committee.
