My current practice mainly involves trauma and surgery of the hip and knee. Most of my elective surgery work is hip and knee joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery of the knee and ACL reconstruction. In January 2006 I further developed my interest in lower limb arthroplasty by pursuing the Exeter hip fellowship, and whilst there, undertaking research into the mechanical properties of cement. Following this I did a further fellowship in lower limb reconstruction and arthroplasty in Melbourne with Neil Bergman.

I qualified from the University of Mumbai, India in 1994. After completing an orthopaedic postgraduate degree in Mumbai, I moved to the UK. In 2001, I commenced higher surgical training on the Mersey Deanery rotation. I returned to the North West in January 2007 to work at Royal Liverpool and Wrightington hospitals. Here I gained further experience in sports medicine knee surgery prior to taking up a consultant post at Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Knee arthritis, sports knee injury, ACL reconstruction, patella dislocation surgery, hip and knee replacement.

I am a keen teacher and regularly participate in postgraduate training. I am a faculty member for AO and Exeter hip course. I have published my work in peer-reviewed literature and I have contributed to orthopaedic book chapters.
