I'm a Consultant Clinical Immunologist at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board where I provide allergy and immunology clinics for patients across South Wales. I graduated from Cambridge University and Guy’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine, and then undertook general medicine training in London, Worthing and Oxford. I subsequently specialised in Immunology at University Hospital of Wales and am on the GMC Specialist Register.
My research interests include the use of microarray technology to improve the diagnosis of immunodeficiencies and allergies. I have an MSc in medical immunology, and an MD in immunology research. I have a number of publications and have presented at numerous meetings - local, national and international.
In addition to my clinical work I am proud to represent my specialty in a number of roles. These include chairing the Immunology Specialist Advisory Group reporting to the Welsh Government and committee roles for the British Society of Immunology, Association of Clinical Pathologists and British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. I am also a member of the Medical Advisory Panel for the patient group Primary Immunodeficiency UK.
I am pleased to offer a comprehensive service for the diagnosis and management of allergic and immunological conditions at Spire Cardiff Hospital.
