I am a Urological Surgeon who has a broad interest in all aspects of adult urology, with sub-specialist expertise in minimally invasive surgery for malignant and benign conditions of the upper urinary tract.
I graduated in Medicine from the University of Birmingham and subsequently went on to be awarded a MD in Molecular Biology from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. I then completed my specialist training in Urological Surgery in the West Midlands Deanery and I was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon in 2008.
To compliment my clinical work, I act as Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer, Senior Academy Tutor and Senior Examiner for the University of Birmingham Medical School. I am also a MRCS Intercollegiate Examiner.
My research and clinical work has been presented to numerous learned societies including The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, The Royal College of Surgeons of England, The Royal Society of Medicine, The American Association of Urology, The World Congress of Endourology and The British Association of Urological Surgeons.
In recognition for my published studies, I act as a manuscript reviewer for the Journal of Endourology. I am frequently invited to act as faculty for leading conferences in my field, covering research and training in Urological Surgery.

Personal profile
I began my medical career in Worcestershire in 1995 and was delighted to return in 2008 as a Consultant Urological Surgeon. Although I have a busy professional life, I enjoy spending time with my children, family and friends. I have a keen interest in country pursuits and clay pigeon shooting.
