I am a Consultant Clinical Oncologist specialising in the management of breast and colorectal cancers. I was appointed to my current post at Worcestershire Oncology Centre in 2014 when radiotherapy services commenced there. I have made a major contribution to development of modern treatments for the people of Worcestershire. I see private patients requiring chemotherapy, radiotherapy and other supportive therapies for breast and colorectal cancers at Spire South Bank hospital.

I am a graduate of the University of Edinburgh and subsequently trained in general medicine in the UK and New Zealand followed by oncology at Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology on the Wirral and at the Christie Hospital, Manchester. Prior to my current appointment I was consultant in Wolverhampton from 2000 with visiting sessions at Kidderminster Hospital specialising in breast and colorectal cancers, whilst also obtaining a wealth of experience treating urological and upper gastro-intestinal malignancies.

In addition I have made a significant contribution to research within my sub-speciality interests being principal local investigator in many national trials as well as sitting on national trial management groups. I am an examiner for the Clinical Oncology speciality trainees at the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR).

I am able to offer consultations on the Millbrook Suite at the Kidderminster Treatment Centre.

Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy for Breast and Colorectal Cancers.

I am married to Ruth, piano teacher and environmental educationalist, and in August 2014 we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. We have three children. Our two daughters are currently students of the arts at university and our son is in sixth form, a scientist - but without inclination towards medicine. I spend some of my free time wearing out my joints playing 5-a-side football and badminton. At weekends, whenever possible, we like to get out and about hill walking that I combine with my hobby, which is landscape photography. During occasional bouts of madness I sign up for cycling and walking challenges - the most recent being a bike ride across the Andes in Peru.
