Following qualification in 2003, Penni worked full-time with the NHS, specialising in outpatient musclo-skeletal problems after 18 months. She spent over 3 years working with rugby teams on the South coast, from juniors to veterans, including evening clinics and pitch-side and first-aid management. Prior to moving up to the Worcester area, she had started to work within a private clinic.
Penni joined the team here at Spire South Bank Hospital in 2007 as a senior physiotherapist and works as a full-time member of staff. She has a special interest in sporting injuries and rehabilitation and enjoys working with knee (particularly anterior-cruciate-ligament reconstructions) and shoulder rehabilitation. She uses a combination of treatment techniques to achieve the best results with her patients with particular interest in massage, acupuncture, Pilates and exercises. Penni regularly attends courses to update her skills and techniques and ensure that she is up to date with current theory and practice. She is currently taking modules toward a diploma in orthopaedic medicine and has further interests in pursuing diagnostic ultrasound and injection therapy.
