Mr Shahzad Sadiq completed his specialist orthopaedic training in Manchester and London. He has extensive experience in the treatment of complex trauma patients, in particular non-union of long bones. He carried out his AO Trauma Fellowship in Canada.
Mr Sadiq specialises in the use of nails, external fixators, llizarov and ring fixators to treat difficult fractures. He also had extensive training in lower limb joint arthroplasty and revision surgery in Wrightington and at the Hammersmith hospital, London. He has specialist training in both cemented and uncemented hip arthroplasty and the use of uncemented long stems in revision arthroplasty.
Mr Sadiq has a keen interest in the management of bone infection and infected arthroplasty of the hip and knee. His research interests are fracture healing, fragility fractures, articular cartilage injury and computer navigation.
Mr Sadiq has an outside interest in sending trauma teams from the UK to disaster zones.
