I am a highly experienced Consultant Hand Surgeon who has been based in the Worcestershire and Warwickshire region since 2005. I specialise in hand, wrist and elbow conditions.

I now offer joint replacement for osteoarthritis at the base of the thumb, having undertaken my training in cadaveric lab and real-life surgery in this technique in France.

Having worked for the Worcestershire Acute Hospital NHS Trust as a Consultant for 11 years, I now work as an Independent Private Practitioner.

During my career I trained extensively across Europe specialising in hand surgery and microsurgery and performed more than 100 replantations (microsurgical re-attachment of amputated hands and fingers). I wrote my PhD Thesis on microsurgical techniques in hand surgery.

I worked with plastic surgeons on complex hand injuries including microsurgery during my 18 month sabbatical at a hospital in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

I regularly attend training courses and conferences to keep up with the latest techniques in hand and wrist surgery and am an advocate of the use of the WALANT technique (Wide Awake Local Anaesthetic No Tourniquet).

I have presented and run courses at many national and international forums and published articles in Orthopaedic journals. I am also a Visiting Senior Lecturer at Aston University.

I work as an expert witness providing timely and efficient written reports for personal injury and medical negligence cases. I have a good understanding of legal principles and civil procedures rules, and will provide a non-biased, holistic and logical approach, based on my extensive clinical experience and current medical evidence-based literature.
