Mr Melwyn Pereira

I am a specialist Foot and Ankle Surgeon at the Redditch and Kidderminster Hospitals. I specialise in forefoot, hindfoot and ankle surgery including arthroscopic surgery. I have a special interest in Diabetic foot problems.

I studied medicine at the University of Bombay, India, where I went on to do a postgraduate residency in Trauma and Orthopaedics. I worked as a lecturer in Orthopaedics at one of the University Teaching Hospitals in Bombay, before I was selected to come to the UK on an overseas Doctor’s Training Scheme of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

I worked as a Specialist Registrar in London and South East England on the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore rotation before taking up my appointment as a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics at Redditch and Kidderminster in 2002. I am a member of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgery Society.
