Mr Chester is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon based at University Hospital Birmingham (Selly Oak). Mr Chester also provides the plastic surgery service at Worcester Royal Hospital. He has received rigorous, structured training in plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery in the well-respected West Midlands training programme. Mr Chester was awarded the coveted McGregor medal for obtaining the highest mark in the Royal College of Surgeons Plastic Surgery examinations.He is interested in all aspects of reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. He is particularly interested in cosmetic surgery of the breast and abdomen. Mr Chester also practices as a Hand Surgeon and has completed approved subspecialty training in Hand Surgery at the highly respected Derby Hand Unit.

Mr Chester has a proven research track record with a Master of Philosophy degree in Surgery and over 20 peer-reviewed publications in Plastic Surgery. He has delivered numerous papers and lectures at national meetings. He has published articles within the fields of breast reconstruction, hand surgery, burns and facial reconstruction. He has also performed audits relating to patient satisfaction. He is a trainer of plastic surgery doctors and sits on the West Midlands Regional Training Committee for plastic surgery.
Mr Chester is an approachable Doctor who takes pride in his communication skills with patients. He is keen to ensure that patients are fully informed and involved in decision-making at all times.

Mr Chester is also interested in medical history and has a collection of antique medical books and equipment.
