Background Information
Professional profile:

Having completed urological cancer and minimally invasive / robotic surgery fellowships at Imperial College London Hospital NHS Trust and Royal Marsden Hospital NHS Foundation Trust I worked as a Consultant in The Royal Marsden Hospital providing bladder, prostate, renal and testicular services. I delivered a high quality robotic prostatectomy service and presented our outcomes at national and international urology conferences including the recent European Robotic Urology Symposium where I was awarded a prize for the best presentation. During my time at The Royal Marsden I also performed the first UK series of robotic retroperitoneal lymph node dissections for post chemotherapy testicular cancer patients.

In August 2012 I worked with Prof John Kelly at UCL Hospitals, London to develop my experience of robotic radical cystectomy for bladder cancer and also travelled on a TUF travelling scholarship to Prof. Peter Wiklund at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm who was one of the pioneers of the procedure.

My appointment in Southampton will allow me to work with the team to develop state of the art uro-oncology services including robotics.

Personal profile:

I am married with two young girls who all keep me busy. I enjoy travelling, cooking and music and am an out of practice saxophonist.
