I qualified with distinctions and first class honours clinical BSc in molecular medicine from the Royal Free Medical School in London. I obtained my FRCS in surgery following my surgical training in London and Melbourne, before training in radiology. I was awarded the gold medal for the FRCR exam and undertook a two year specialist fellowship in interventional radiology.

In 2005 I was appointment consultant in abdominal and interventional radiology at University Hospital Southampton. I am the radiology and overal clnical lead for pancreatic and hepatobiliary cancer services in Southampton.

My specialist expertise is the use of minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of liver tumours. For the treatment of liver cancer, I have extensive experience in the use of drug eluting particles and also in the novel technique of radioembolisation of liver matastasis for which I received a licence in 2009.

I am a member of Medical Advisory Committee for Spire Southampton Hospital.
