Billboards, bus stops and train stations in Southampton, Chandlers Ford and Winchester have been adorned with images of staff members from Spire Southampton Hospital as part of a new advertising campaign.
For the next two weeks the new adverts will be on display, and feature images and quotes from three members of staff, highlighting their thoughts on the hospital.
The adverts have been designed to give a personal insight into the hospital from the people who spend their time there, as well as highlighting some of the hospital’s specialist areas of expertise.
Steve Robinson is the specialist cardiology manager. The team of experts he works with offers a wide range of services including heart bypass and heart valve replacement procedures, a heart screening service, cardiac ultrasound and ECG (electrocardiogram).
Dominica McAndrew is a chemotherapy nurse, working in Spire Southampton Hospital’s specialist cancer facility with a strong focus on compassionate and dedicated staff. Here patients can receive a variety of chemotherapy treatments which support other cancer treatments such as surgery and radiotherapy which are also available at the hospital.
Melanie South is a specialist orthopaedic physiotherapist who loves working alongside friendly staff who are experts in their field. Advice, diagnosis and treatments are provided by experienced orthopaedic consultants and physiotherapists who each specialise in different conditions.
Hospital director Jane Whitney-Smith said, “We know that some people locally may not be aware of the hospital, or might know it under a different name. Spire Southampton Hospital is one of south’s leading private medical facilities, and we’re looking to send a message about how great we are, loud and clear.
“We wanted to create something that demonstrates why patients choose Spire Southampton Hospital, and in so many cases the reasons are the same as why our staff choose to work here. We offer considerable experience and expertise across all our departments, and our staff deliver a truly excellent service to every patient in our care.
“Don’t forget to look out for the new adverts.”
