Cholesterol level test

Cholesterol level testing can be carried out at Spire Shawfair Park Hospital. Appointment times are available at your convenience. Ask your GP to refer you to the blood clinic at Spire Shawfair Park hospital.

The level of cholesterol in the blood is an indication of the risk of developing heart disease or having a stroke. Cholesterol tests can be used to monitor high risk patients and help them to reduce their risk of these diseases through diet, exercise and drug treatment.

A test to identify the level of cholesterol in the blood can be conducted by taking a small sample of blood for analysis in our laboratories.
