Consultant Gastroenterologist

MBChB, MRCP, MD

Specialises in

Since my appointment at the Western General Hospital, I have developed a broad practice across gastroenterology. In the clinic I see patients with weight loss, difficulty swallowing, reflux, abdominal pain, change in bowel habit and rectal bleeding.

I specialise in the management of patients with chronic intestinal diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease along with functional bowel diseases such as irritable bowel syndrome. I have also developed a specific focus on endoscopy and the removal of polyps at colonoscopy. In conjunction with my colleagues at Edinburgh Gastroenterology I aim to deliver high level care to patients with gastrointestinal problems.

I work in Spire Shawfair Park's endoscopy suite which holds JAG accreditation.
