Mr Henry Annan qualified from Cambridge University and St Bartholomew's Hospital in 1973 and undertook postgrad training at teaching hospitals in Birmingham, London and Cambridge. Mr Annan was a rotating senior registrar at St.Mary's Hospital, London and Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge. He was appointed consultant in 1985.
Mr Annan was active in undergraduate teaching in the UK, as well as a trainer and postgraduate teacher in the UK, Sudan, UAE, Nigeria and India.He undertook postgradute training in keyhole surgery in the UK, Belgium, Sweden and Germany
Mr Annan was an Examiner for the University of London and the MRCOG, and is still an Examier for the General Medical Council. Mr Annan was also a foundation Fellow of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons.
