Dr Andrew Deaner is a consultant cardiologist at Spire Roding and Spire Hartswood hospitals in Essex, offering cardiology care in our clean and comfortable private hospitals.
Dr Deaner graduated from Leeds University School of Medicine in 1987. He was appointed Consultant Cardiologist at King George and the London Chest Hospitals in 1996, and is currently the clinical lead in Cardiology and Clinical Director of Medicine at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospital NHS Trust, Essex.
Dr Deaner's practice includes treating patients with all types of cardiac disease, including those with coronary artery disease (angina and heart attacks), valvular heart disease, palpitations and pacemakers as well having a special interest in pregnant women with heart disease. He carries out diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including coronary angiography, coronary angioplasty and stents, pacemaker implants and transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography.
Dr Deaner holds NHS clinics at King George, Queens, The Royal London and Brentwood Community Hospitals, and has a private practice at Spire Roding Hospital, Redbridge, Essex and Spire Hartswood Hospital, Brentwood, Essex.
Outside of his thriving practices, Dr Deaner is heavily involved in the training of junior doctors and is currently the Chair of the Specialist Training Committee for General (Internal) Medicine for North Thames, as well as the Regional Speciality Advisor for the Royal College of Physicians and Secretary of The Cardiology Council of the Royal Society of Medicine.
