Spire Regency Hospital has launched a fertility service comprising medical, nursing and laboratory teams who have extensive experience in assisted conception treatment and are dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for the patients from Cheshire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Greater Manchester.

Spire Regency hospital will be working closely with St Mary's Hospital, Manchester and Spire Healthcare's London Fertility Centre laboratory, which currently has some of the best success rates for any IVF centre in the UK.
Through working with St Mary's, Manchester and The London Fertility Centre, patients can enjoy the convenience of having initial consultations and investigations with our fertility consultant at the Spire Regency. The initial stages of treatment including monitoring ultrasound scans will be provided locally at the Spire Regency.
Any subsequent HFEA licensed treatment (including egg collection, embryology, semen preparation, insemination, embryo transfer, sperm and egg donation treatment, and cryopreservation of gametes and embryos) will then be performed at St Mary's Hospital, Manchester or the London Fertility Centre, 53 Portland Place, London, W1B 1QJ.
Fertility Treatments and Services at Spire Regency Hospital
Your consultant Dr Edi-Osagie will assist in determining appropriate treatment for you and/or your partner, which may include one or a combination programme of the following :-
- Fertility Testing
As part of Spire Fertility we offer comprehensive fertility tests for both men and women.
- In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF)
IVF treatment involves the fertilisation of a women's eggs in a laboratory, before placing the resulting embryo in to the uterus.
- Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
ICSI is like IVF treatment, except that a single sperm is selected and injected directly in to each egg. Again, fertilised eggs are then transferred back in to the uterus. ICSI means fertilisation is possible even with semen samples that have a very low sperm count.
- Ovulation Induction and Intrauterine Insemination (OI/UI)
Intraauterine Insemination involves the placing of pre-selected sperm in to the woman's womb close to the time of ovulation when the egg is released from the ovary. The woman will be given a course of drugs to stimulate the production of eggs. We carry out this procedure at the St Mary's Hospital, Manchester and the London Fertility Centre.
- Sperm donation
We can also offer a sperm donation service for couples or individuals who wish to donor gametes for fertility treatment. This service takes place at St Mary's Hospital, Manchester or the London Fertility Centre.
