Weight management

We offer a consecutive six week dietary programme, devised to help you lose weight, improve your well being and body confidence. The initial assessment is a 30-45 minutes consultation followed by five 20-30 minute follow up consultations. Diet plans are provided, tailored to suit individual needs and requirements. Anthropometric data is monitored over the six week period, individual goals are set using specific, measurable, achievable, and realistic targets, behaviour change and motivational tools.

FODMAPs diets for IBS, Coeliac disease, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, bowel cancers

The low FODMAPs diet is relatively new evidence based approach treating  symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Recent research has shown that some carbohydrates may contribute to IBS symptoms. These carbohydrates are called Fermentable, Oligosaccharides, Disarrharides, Mono-saccharides And Polyols or FODMAPs.

IBS symptoms such as diarrhoea, constipation, bloating, abdominal pain and wind occur in up to 15% of the UK population, these symptoms can occur in people who have other conditions such as Coeliac disease, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and bowel cancer. Approximately 75% of patients who are prescribed the FODMAP diet report a sustained reduction of IBS symptoms.

Zowie Wild is a specifically trained FODMAP dietitian. Zowie under took her training at Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College London. Initial assessment is one hour and will consists of obtaining a full patient history, an understanding of the IBS symptom(s) experienced and assessment of dietary intake in detail. The patient's educated on the FODMAP diet in a step-by-step process.

The diet is tailored to the individual, providing suitable alternatives for foods they need to avoid. Menu plans and appropriate information on label reading, eating out and recipe adaptation will be discussed. The diet is followed for an eight week period. Follow up consultation will last approximately 30 minutes and will consist of educating on re-introduction phase and requirements for optimal nutritional adequacy of the diet.


An optimal nutritional status and body weight pre-pregnancy can help improve your chances of conception. We can offer safe effective evidence based nutritional advice and diet plans to suit your needs and help you obtain a health weight for your height and correct any nutritional imbalances.


Dieting during pregnancy is not recommended. We can provide evidence-based advice to encourage a healthy balanced diet ensuring you have adequate nutrients stores to meet you and your unborn child’s needs. We will assess and monitor body weight and providing advice on folic acid and iron supplementation, vitamin D and A during pregnancy, food hygiene and lifestyle advice including smoking cessation and alcohol intake, dispelling myths such as eating for two, encouraging and informing of the benefits and nutritional demands of breastfeeding.


To discuss your nutritional status, and body weight we can provide tailored advice on safe weight loss post-pregnancy to discuss the benefits of healthy eating and physical activity levels, usually six to eight week's after giving birth.

PCOS can result in a higher risk of pregnancy complications such as high blood pressure, pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes and miscarriage, if you are overweight you can help to reduce these symptoms by reducing your excess weight before becoming pregnant.
