"I have so much more confidence and am just a happier person now."

Since the age of 16 I have always been very unhappy with the size of my breasts, but all my friends and family told me to wait and that they would eventually come. By the age of 22 I still had nothing there and it really got me down, I did not feel womanly at all and would always buy clothes to cover up the fact that I was flat chested and wear bras that were too big for me to appear like I was bigger than what I was.

I decided to do some research on surgeons and hospitals when I came across Mr Bennett who had a lot of amazing reviews and testimonials. I booked up a consultation straight away and when I met him for the first time he was so kind and understanding and made me feel so at ease, as even though this was something that I really wanted it was a very nervous time as well.

I decided after a long time and a lot of thinking, to go through with breast augmentation. The care I received at Spire was outstanding and would highly recommend this hospital. I am now 3 months post op and I couldn't be happier. Mr Bennett is an amazing surgeon and has completely changed my life. I have so much more confidence and am just a happier person now. I would recommend Mr Bennett to anyone who wanted any type of surgery. I thank him so much for changing my life.

"From the moment I was admitted I was immediately put at ease and made to feel that I was in safe hands."

I am writing to express my sincere thanks to Mr Watkinson and all the members of the team who made my visit at the Spire Hospital such a pleasant and stress free experience.

From the moment I was admitted I was immediately put at ease and made to feel I was in safe hands. I was extremely well looked after and kept well informed throughout my stay. Every member of the team without exception was extremely professional and kind which put me at ease prior to my operation. The physiotherapist explained what exercises I would need to do after the operation and the benefit these would bring. Everything I needed to know was explained to me simply, sometimes more than once, which helped to subdue any nerves I may have had. Matt, one of the Anaesthetist team spent a good few minutes happily answering my questions and chatting.

Post operation, the lady who looked after me in recovery was an absolute angel, as was the nurse who looked after me when I was back in my room. I think her name was Susan, she kept checking in on me to make sure I was ok, and was very insistent that I should be in no rush to be discharged. Again she explained to me as many times as necessary everything I needed to know.

We live in a world where high levels of service are now expected as standard. The level of service and care I received on Wednesday 5th February at the Spire Hospital was not standard, it was exceptional.  Everybody who played a part in my care did a fantastic job, particularly  the physiotherapist, two anaesthetists  Jim and Matt, the lady in recovery and the post operation nurse Susan, and of course the main man Duncan Watkinson and his theatre team for now giving me a pain free fully mobile shoulder.

"Thank you to everyone for looking after me so well..."

Following my recent operation and stay at the Spire Hospital Portsmouth, I had been intending to write to everyone concerned with my medical treatment and post-operative care to express my thanks for their professionalism and their combined efforts to ensure my comfort and well-being.

I do so now, and, at risk of accidently missing out any behind-the-scenes persons, I would address my specific thanks to (not necessarily in the right order) your reception and admissions team, porters, the surgical and theatre team, recovery room nurses, the day and night-time nursing team, attending doctors, pharmacy staff, the physiotherapy team, imaging team (for my post-op x-ray, and my earlier MRI scans of course), the catering team and housekeeping staff.

I believe I should also thank the resident peacock for the extra entertainment provided(?)

I am sure there are others so I would just like to say again - thank you to everyonefor looking after me so well, and helping to speed my recovery.

"I shall certainly recommend the Spire Hospital to my friends."

"I am most grateful."

I have recently undergone 2 operations (hernia and hip replacement) at the Spire Hospital. Both have been successful.

I am most grateful.

"... the professionalism of individuals is what really makes the difference."

May I take this opportunity to thank you, your colleagues and nursing staff for the truly professional and caring attention I received...

The combination of the Hospital Patient Team, clinical and nursing staff, gives patients a very comforting and reassuring  feeling when they are in that combined caring.

...the professionalism of individuals, is what really makes the difference.

"Best thing about the operation was I stood up and walked for miles"

Graham Laker had suffered with varicose veins for many years. They had started to ache and itch so that when he scratched them it made a mess. Mr Laker was recommended Mr Payne by his GP. At the consultation various procedures were discussed and together they decided on Venaseal™ vein glue.

Mr Laker said that the procedure itself was "pain free... it was all quite jolly" during the procedure as it was performed under local anaesthetic and he was awake. Afterwards they put a small plaster over the area where the tube had been inserted, " I stood up and walked for miles... there were no after affects whatsoever, the only after affects were good... it felt better and it was not visible anymore."

"I would definitely recommend Mr Payne he is very good."
