I am a senior UK surgeon specialising in upper gastrointestinal problems. My postgraduate training was undertaken in the famous academic surgical units of Leeds, Cambridge, Bristol and St Mary's in London. I have worked as professor of surgery in Hong Kong and consultant senior lecturer in Leeds.

Over the last 16 years I have developed a unique experience of complex upper gastrointestinal surgery, with an emphasis on keyhole bariatric (weight loss) surgery.

I have performed over 3,000 bariatric and complex upper gastrointestinal procedures, with exemplary safety and results.

I am a preferred specialist opinion for bariatric medico-legal cases and sit on the council for the British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society.
