Mr Cannon trained in general orthopaedics prior to specialising in lower limb surgery. He gained specific experience in ankle and knee surgery in Oxford and Sydney (Australia). He manages all foot and ankle problems and has particular experience of the management of sporting injuries of the foot and ankle, the treatment of deformity correction (e.g. bunion surgery) and key-hole surgery.
In addition to surgery, Mr Cannon has undertaken numerous research projects and is involved in the selection and training of future orthopaedic surgeons.
Mr Cannon served for nearly 20 years in the Royal Navy and served in a variety of war-torn countries. He is now a civilian working as a consultant surgeon in Portsmouth.
Mr Cannon sees private patients at Spire Hospitals in Havant and Farnham.
Mr Cannon is a keen sailor and enjoys keeping fit by cycling and running.
