Miss Nime Vaithilingam is an experienced Gynaecologist with more than 20 years in obstetrics and gynaecology. Upon completing her training as a consultant she became a Fellow of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists joining St Mary's Hospital, Portsmouth in 1996 as a Registrar. Miss Vaithilingam currently works as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Queen Alexandra Hospital.
Miss Vaithilingam underwent extensive training and completed special skills training in maternal medicine, imaging in gynaecological disorders and management, leadership in labour ward and medical education, and was awarded a diploma in obstetrics and gynaeoclogy ultrasound from the Wales Medical College, Cardiff.
As the lead Consultant for early pregnant and acute gynaecology at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Miss Vaithilingam has developed evidence based patient care, care in the management of recurrent miscarriage early pregnancy, ultrasound scanning, acute gynaecology complications, hysterectomy and hysteroscopy.
