An expert in cosmetic surgery has claimed that hair removal laser treatment is rapidly becoming more popular thanks, in part, to its rising cost-effectiveness.
David Oliver, a consultant plastic surgeon who provides opinion for Expert Beauty, claimed that the relatively minimal level of discomfort felt by other forms of hair removal, coupled with its depleting cost, made it a popular cosmetic treatment.
"Laser hair removal is definitely becoming increasingly popular and in my opinion offers the best method of reducing unwanted hair," he said.
Mr Oliver added that laser treatments offered permanent hair reduction but advised people to take the necessary precautions before using a laser practitioner.
Patients should "always check" qualifications and experience, and all practitioners should "work closely with an experienced plastic surgeon or dermatologist", he added
This follows a report from the deals aggregating website Dealzippy, which yesterday (August 30th) claimed that its users had saved over £4 million on laser hair removal between June and July this year, with the average saving per deal at £900.
