Leading plastic surgeons have condemned a plastic surgery party with a £4,000 top prize as depraved and insane.
The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) said that the monthly events at Transpire Cosmetic Surgery would trivialise cosmetic procedures such as breast augmentation and liposculpture.
My Big Fat Plastic Surgery Prize Draw parties are set to launch at the Birmingham-based chain later this month. They will include a bar open until 1am, resident DJs and entry into a prize draw to win prizes from the world of plastic surgery.
Transpire claims the idea is based on society's fascination with all things in life which are beautiful, but BAAPS shot down this notion.
Fazel Fatah, president of the body, said: "We are now seeing a new level of insanity and depravity in the way certain cosmetic surgery providers market and promote their services; life-changing, serious surgical procedures being raffled in an alcohol-fuelled evening extravaganza."
Earlier this week Sarah Burge, the 'Human Barbie' gave her seven-year-old daughter a voucher for breast enlargement for her to use when she is 16.
