    Mr Harland was appointed in 1998 as a full-time dedicated spinal neurosurgeon at University Hospital Birmingham. He qualified at University College Hospital, London and trained in neurosurgery in London and Cambridge.

    Prior to taking up his post in Birmingham, Mr Harland travelled to Phoenix, Arizona on a Royal College of Surgeons Supported Spinal Fellowship.

    IMr Harland regularly perform a wide variety of spinal surgical procedures for microdiscectomy, to complex reconstructions throughout the spine for degenerative traumatic and neoplastic pathologies.
