    Professional profile
    Mr Shrivastava had an extensive surgical training at the Bombay Hospital, Bombay. He became a Fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Bombay in 1979. He then acquired a Membership to the National Academy of Medical Sciences of India in 1981. He was awarded an FRCS in 1989 and decided to pursue a career in Orthopaedics.

    To this effect Mr Shrivastava gained an M Ch Orth in 1991 from the University of Liverpool. His orthopaedic training took place in the West Midlands at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham. He trained as a Senior Registrar at St Thomas' & Guy's Hospital in London. 

    Mr Shrivastava was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Birmingham Heartlands & Solihull Hospital in 1996.
