    Mr Ramos qualified as a doctor in 1981 and has since obtained an MD in 1983 and a PhD in Orthopaedics in 1991. He completed his orthopaedic training in the Wessex region after obtaining the FRCS (Orth) qualification, culminating in a consultant position at the Birmingham Heartlands & Solihull NHS Foundation Trust (Teaching) in 1999.

    Part of his training involved taking part in visiting fellowship centres of excellence in Spain, Switzerland and the USA. Currently his practice is divided into general orthopaedics / trauma, his special interest being lower limb surgery, including hip, knee and ankle replacements.
