Mr. Ved Goswami FRCS, MS MCh (Orth) is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon since 1994 specialising in Knee, Shoulder & Sports Surgery. He received surgical training in India, higher specialist surgical training in the UK and sub-specialty training in the USA.
His principle elective interests in orthopaedics include the management of traumatic and degenerative disorders of the knee, shoulder & hip joint, as well as sports surgery. As an orthopaedic specialist he aims to offer the latest techniques including arthroscopic surgery, also know as keyhole surgery, of the knee, shoulder, elbow and ankle.
He has an special interest in knee surgery , specifically in arthroscopic knee ligament reconstruction (anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and posterior cruciate ligament (PCL), meniscal cartilage surgery including the latest repair and replacement techniques and the treatment of mild and severe arthritis using arthroscopic techniques, minimally invasive Computer navigated / Total & Partial Knee Replacement (MIS-CAS) and Articular Cartilage repair or transplantation surgery.
His interests with shoulder injury include arthroscopic minimally invasive treatment of shoulder instability, rotator cuff tears, impingement, injury to the acromio-clavicular joint and arthritis surgery including Shoulder Resurfacing & Total Joint Replacement. He also has large experience in hip replacement and hip resurfacing.
His NHS practice includes the provision of general orthopaedic trauma care at the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust in Birmingham and an elective practice based at the Solihull Hospital.
