Dr Ment is an interventional cardiologist dealing predominantly with coronary artery disease and its consequences including myocardial infarction and heart failure. He was appointed in 2004 as a consultant cardiologist and has gained extensive experience particularly in assessment of possible coronary artery disease and heart failure. In addition he sees a lot of general cardiology including the management of palpitations/ heart arrhythmias, high blood pressure as well as assessment of the cardiac patient undergoing non cardiac surgery. Dr Ment is also interested in cardiac ultrasound and is able to provide on site scanning for the rapid assessment and diagnosis of important conditions like heart failure and cardiomyopathies.
Dr Ment has over the last few years, also been regularly involved in GP education through dedicated lectures .
