At Spire Parkway Hospital we understand that coming into hospital as an inpatient can be a daunting prospect, therefore we want to ensure that we answer your questions so that your stay with us is as comfortable as possible.
Taking care of you in a clean and comfortable environment
Once you've booked your procedure, the information given to you prior to your admission is specific to your operation, treatment or investigation. There will be instructions on preparing for your stay and what you need to bring with you on the day of your admission.
Generally we ask that you do not drink alcohol during the day before admission. If you are a smoker, we ask that you stop smoking or cut down as much as possible, especially if you are having a general anaesthetic.
On the day of admission please bring with you:
- All medication (in its original packaging) that you are taking
- Dressing gown
- Slippers (closed toe and non-slip soles)
- Books and/or magazines
- Toiletries
- Toothbrush and toothpaste or denture cleaner
- Shaving kit
