With the unique advantage of dual training both in India and in the UK Mr Chitale has had extensive and comprehensive training in all sub-specialities of urology. Mr Chitale has over 20 years experience in the field of urology and has performed over 20,000 urological procedures so far.
Mr Chitale has a sub-specialist interest in disease of the prostate including benign prostatic enlargement, cancer prostate with its early diagnosis and management and most importantly, prostatitis, which affects more middle-aged men than one would expect.
His research interests are in the field of hypogonadism and testosterone therapy, Peyronie's disease and interstitial cystitis.
Mr Chitale offers the following procedures; cystoscopy, urethrotomy, TURP, TUR bladder tumour, prostate biopsy, corrective surgery for Peyronie's deformity, vasectomy, reversal of vasectomy, hydrocele repair (adult / paediatric), prepucioplasty, circumcision (adult / paediatric), excision epididymal cyst, variocele ligation, orchidectomy +/- prosthesis.
Mr Chitale is passionate about teaching and has been involved with training undergraduate medical students at the University College London, Medical School. He has been a proud recipient of the Top Teacher Award for the year 2014.
