Mr Cohen is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in disorders of the hip and knee. His NHS practice is based at The James Paget University Hospital. He qualified from University College and Middlesex School of Medicine in London in 1995 and completed the majority of his orthopaedic training in the South of England (Kent, Sussex and Surrey rotation). Mr Cohen spent one year in hip speciality training at University College Hospital in London with leading experts in this area of orthopaedic surgery. His main interests are in techniques of hip joint preservation surgery including hip arthroscopy and pelvic osteotomy in younger people. He also undertakes some aspects of knee surgery, including joint replacement and sports injuries.
Mr Cohen's clinic is held on a Wednesday afternoon and operating theatre time on Wednesday evening. Appointments may be arranged at other times during the week according to availability.
Mr Cohen is married to Nicola and has four children, Oliver (10), Georgina (7) and Asa (5) and Seth (1). Outside medicine, his interests include playing football, cricket and golf. He also enjoys playing the guitar and spending as much time as possible with his family.
