I studied at the University of Birmingham, graduating in 1996. My initial postgraduate training was in the Midlands until I had the opportunity to work in New Zealand. This first sparked my interest in haemto-oncology and general haematology. On return to the UK I completed post graduate exams before entering the haematology higher specialist training scheme of the West Midlands. I completed training in 2007 and took up my first consultant role at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital having finally moved from the Midlands.

My role at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital centres around haemato-oncology, in particular acute leukaemias, myeloproliferative disorders and stem cell transplantation. I also take an interest in general haematology.

I recently became a postgraduate tutor for the Royal College of Pathologists for the NNUH and JPUH.
