Mr Ayman Fouad is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust. He has a special interest in urogynaecology, pelvic floor reconstruction surgery, and minimal access surgery. He is also an accredited Colposcopist.
He qualified in 1984 and trained in Manchester, Newcastle and finally at London Deanery hospitals. He worked as a research fellow in urogynaecology and pelvic floor surgery at Worthing Hospital and Southampton University Hospitals.
In addition to extensive experience in general gynaecology, minimal invasive surgery, gynaecological ultrasound and colposcopy he was the urogynaecology lead consultant at Dumfries Royal Infirmary and currently at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals.
Mr Fouad has published numerous papers and abstracts and has been invited to speak at international meetings. He offers a full range of gynaecological services including the management of heavy periods, fibroids, endometriosis and pelvic pain, smear abnormalities and colposcopy, polycystic ovarian syndrome, menopause, urinary incontinence and vaginal prolapse problems.
