Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass

Gastric bypass surgery (most commonly the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass) is a procedure which aims to reduce the amount of calories absorbed from your food whilst helping you to feel full after eating smaller meals.

Gastric Banding

Gastric banding, also known as lap banding, is a procedure which aims to make you feel full after eating a small portion of food. It works by restricting the capacity of your stomach, so that you eat less, and over time, lose weight.

Sleeve Gastrectomy

Sleeve gastrectomy surgery is a more significant operation than having a gastric band fitted, however it is not considered as major as a gastric bypass since it involves fewer changes to your body’s digestive system.

Orbera Weight Loss Balloon

Orbera Weight Loss Balloon

Orbera™ is a soft, saline filled silicone balloon that is placed in the stomach for six months. The balloon is designed to partially fill your stomach, giving you a feeling of fullness and is suitable for those with a BMI of at least 27.
