Dr Gill studied medicine at Liverpool University from where he graduated in 1990. Having performed his house jobs in the Wirral Hospital he then completed a three year general medical SHO rotation in the Midlands.
From 1994 to 1999 he trained as a radiology SpR based at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals. Dr Gill was appointed as a consultant general radiologist with subspecialty interests in Uroradiology and Vascular and Non Vascular intervention at what is now the Mid Yorkshire Hospital NHS Trust in December 1999.
He has worked there ever since, remaining as the lead Uroradiologist for the Trust during that time. He has recently given up his vascular interventional work to concentrate more on Uroradiology, particularly prostate biopsies and MRI, Body CT and MRI reporting.
