If you find a breast lump or notice a change or other symptom in your breast then ask your GP to refer you to our One Stop Clinic. Here you will be seen by a specialist breast team including a specialist doctor and a specialist breast nurse. We try to perform all mammograms, scans and biopsies on the same day so that you get a result as quickly as possible.
If you’re worried about breast cancer, we provide a comprehensive service you can trust.

Breast Health Check Up
If you are worried about breast cancer and would like a breast check up, you can come to a clinic even if you do not have any particular symptom at present. This service includes
- An assessment of your risk of breast cancer
- Advice on breast awareness
- If you are over 40 years of age a mammogram
- Advice on breast cancer prevention
For women over 50 years of age we recommend that you participate in the NHS breast screening programme, which offers you a mammogram every 3 years. If you wish to supplement this with a visit to one of our Breast Clinics “in-between” then of course we would be pleased to see you to provide added reassurance.
If you are aged under 40 then the clinic visit here will usually involve a consultation with one of our specialist doctors or nurses, but not involve a mammogram.
Spire Manchester Hospital has teamed up with Breast Health UK to provide an even more comprehensive service. The BreastHealth UK clinic will offer access to a personalised breast screening programme that can include mammography, clinical breast examination, MRI and other screening technologies, depending on a woman’s personal level of risk and other circumstances.
