Mr Shah has undergone postgraduate training in orthopaedic surgery in Manchester and Southampton. He has obtained sub-specialty experience in lower limb arthroplasty, hip resurfacing and revision hip surgery.

He also has experience of limb reconstruction with the Ilizarov technique. In 1996 he undertook a fellowship in trauma in Germany, which included complex trauma and hip surgery. Mr Shah is interested and activity involved in teaching at Manchester University.
