Tawqeer Rashid is a Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon with an interest in most areas of vascular surgery and a particular focus on complex bypass and angioplasty techniques. He is developing programmes focussed on minimally invasive surgical techniques such as endoscopic vein harvest and percutaneous aneurysm surgery. His NHS practice is focussed on preventing leg amputations and receives referrals from other vascular surgeons with difficult, non-healing foot ulcers.
Having received training in all the common forms of endovenous surgery for varicose veins he did a comparison of them whilst a Fellow in Australia.
As a Senior Lecturer (Honorary) at the University of Manchester Mr. Rashid supervises a PhD student and has secured funding for a number of ongoing studies.
