Dr Marsland attended schools in Manchester before going to Edinburgh University to study medicine, where he attained a first class honours degree in medical sciences. He undertook postgraduate medical training in Edinburgh and in the Hammersmith Hospital, London. He has received formal training in the dermatology units in Edinburgh and Manchester.
Dr Marsland undertook a one year fellowship in Medical University of South Carolina in a world-renowned centre for urticaria research and treatment, and has set up a successful tertiary urticaria clinic which supports ongoing research. He has been asked to lecture at national meetings for allergists and UK dermatology consultants. He is a member of the North West Allergy and Clinical Immunology Strategy Board.
Dr Marsland enjoys all aspects of general dermatology including dermatological surgery. He is happy to receive referrals for all skin problems and aims to provide comprehensive, holistic, personalised care in a dignified and safe environment for all patients from cradle to grave.
