I endeavour to provide the best possible clinical care to all patients be it in the private sector or in my clinical NHS practice.I qualified at Delhi, India in 1987. I have extensive overseas experience working in India and Bahrain. I have done my postgraduate surgical training in ENT surgery (adults and children) at Yorkshire deanery. I have developed a sub speciality interest in Paediatric Otolaryngology and Rhinology for which I have done fellowships in renowned international centres to further enhance my experience.I did focussed paediatric ENT training at Sheffield Children's Hospital and a year long clinical fellowship at Evelina Children's Hospital (part of Guys and St Thomas Hospital), London where I gained valuable experience in airway reconstructive surgery in children. I have also done a Rhinology fellowship with Prof Stammberger in Austria.I have conducted research and written a thesis to study the hearing loss with age in mice, for which I was awarded an M Phil degree from Keele University in 2006. I have over twenty publications in the field of ENT.I am employed as a Consultant ENT Surgeon at Alder Hey Children's Hospital, the largest children's Hospital in the UK. I am part of the regional Cleft team providing hearing surgery for children with cleft palate serving the population of the Northwest and North Wales.My practice involves specialised airway assessment and treatment of children with complex breathing disorders. My interests lie in diagnosing, investigating and treatment of children with blocked noses, hearing problems and sleep disorders arising from enlarged tonsil and adenoids. I have a special interest in surgical treatment of drooling in children.
Outside my professional work, I am a family man with a lovely wife and two beautiful daughters at high school. My Wife is extremely supportive despite being in full time employment herself. We encourage good family virtues in our children and have fun cycling and walking together.I enjoy meeting people, travelling and reading books. The leisure activities include playing badminton, swimming and cooking.
